Small & Tall

I bought two pairs of heels this week that are very similar yet opposites. This first pair is from Zara which is my new favorite store. I haven't been able to stop myself from going since they've opened. I love that they have my size (5), granted I did have to order these off their website. They offer free shipping if you opt to pick it up in stores. I can already tell I will be wearing these a ton this spring. The chunky heels make them soo comfortable, while the gold cuffs add a little glamour and excitement. I imagine I'll be able to style them with a lot of casual outfits as well as formal!

The second pair are a bit more dressy and are from Shoemint.com, a site co-created by Rachel Bilson (my favorite gal from The OC). I have been stalking the site for a while now, but it every time I found a pair of shoes I loved my size would already be sold out. Well luck was finally on my side when I came across these beauties. The best part was I got $40 off since it was my first purchase!
Which pair do you prefer??

My Go-To Winter Palette

The best part about winter is getting to layer furry coats, chunky scarves and cozy colors. Maroon has been a staple in my wardrobe this season. I love pairing it with my greys and blacks.
This "leather" hoodie was another great find at Zara. Hoods are a must living in Seattle! The shape & size of it is also very important and this one is just perfect. It saved me from all the rain and wind today!
I have been drooling over these lambswool scarves from ACNE Studios for a while. When it finally came in the mail I could hardly take it off! The material feels so luxurious and holds its shape very well. I am definitely buying the other colors next winter.

Bundled Up in Vancouver, BC

Finally arrived in Vancouver last night after a lengthy drive through Valentine's Day traffic. At least I'd like to think that was the reason for everyone being on the road. We managed to get sushi take out and settled down in our room with the Olympics the rest of the night.
The gorgeous view from our hotel, the Pan Pacific.
Today we walked around the city, grabbed some breakfast at Subeez and did some shopping. And by shopping I mean spending most of my time running around the enormous Top Shop. I had to take advantage of it since we don't have one in Seattle. :)

Currently Playing With...

I've been loving my red lippy so much I wanted to try another shade of it. I decided to go a little darker for a different look. It definitely changes the vibe of the outfit and brings out a tanner tone in my skin. What do you guys think?
As I'm sure I've complained about before, it is extremely hard to find bracelets that fit my tiny wrists. Which is why I was so excited when I was able to score these two gems! The solid bangle is from Nordstrom BP ($10) and the cutout one is from Madewell ($28).
Dare You by MAC
Lily-White by MAC
So you know how those people at the make up counters always try to give you a makeover because they think it'll convince you to buy their products? Well I totally fell for it. Joel at the Mac store used this highlighter on my cheeks and I completely fell in love. It is just pigmented powder so you can use it for anything! You can mix it in with your lotion to give your skin an extra glow, use it as eye shadow or a highlighter for your brows and so on.
Excuse the messy shelf :) I have way too many books from college that I can't seem to let go of yet.

When it is Too Cold for Skirts Outside

I remember as a freshman in collage, my friends and I would freeze our butts off trekking to frat parties across campus in mini skirts and tank tops. We never brought our coats because coat checks did not exist. It was stupid but fun while it lasted. Nowadays I would much rather curl up at home in a comfy sweater and a movie on cold nights. However there are still those occasions when I'll have to drag myself out of the house on a fall or winter night. When that happens.. this is one of my go-to outfits. And of course I throw a coat on top. :)
The HRH Collection necklace is one of my favorites. Classy yet bold.

Abercrombie & Fitch Girl

It has been years since I've shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch. Decided to pop in for a look when I noticed they were having their winter sale. I was in search for the perfect pair of dark skinny jeans when I came across these forest green leggings. I've always loved this color and the extra bit of paneling detail make them even more interesting.
I have a small obsession with white knit sweaters. There is something so romantic and feminine about them. The subtle gold threading on this one gives it an extra glow.

Thanks for reading! Hope everyone has a safe and fun Super Bowl Sunday!!
