Work & Things

I apologize for the lack of posts lately! I recently accepted my first post-college job offer as a paralegal and have been trying to adapt to work life. The hardest part has been finding the motivation to go to the gym and cook after a long day at the office. For those of you who are wondering, I received my degree in International Studies at the University of Washington. This job has been a huge learning curve for me since I have absolutely zero prior law experience. However, I am enjoying learning about something new and it never hurts to broaden your range of knowledge.

Anyways, enough with the boring stuff :) My office is in downtown Seattle, right in the midst of the business district. A lot of people seem to dislike wearing work clothes, but I have been having a lot of fun putting together my new wardrobe. One of my new favorite stores now is Ann Taylor. They have a petite section which is just what I need, especially when it comes to dress pants. More to come later on this topic!

What I wanted to share with you today is my work bag. I am absolutely in love with it! I have wanted a large everyday black bag for a while and was having trouble finding one in a shape, size and price range I liked. I found this Michael Kors by chance while shopping at Nordstrom Rack. The color and subtle pattern make it extremely versatile. At half off, it was a no brainer!
It is the perfect size for work. I can fit a pad of paper, my water bottle, lunch, make-up and sometimes even an extra pair of shoes (when I don't feel like wearing heels all day)! On a side note, I am seriously considering a designated snack drawer at work, since I often forget to eat on busy days.
The shape holds up really well and the coated material is waterproof. Very important for us Seattle gals with fall quickly approaching.

Thanks for reading!
