Aztec Sequin Skirt

This little skirt is perfect for many occasions. I wore it here with a simple white blouse to a brunch last Sunday at Salty's in celebration of my boyfriend's birthday. If you are visiting Seattle or live here I would definitely recommend it. You get a gorgeous view of the city, quality food, and the best part is it's also a buffet! This was our second annual trip there for his birthday. Perhaps a new tradition?
Threw on these fun stockings to make the outfit appropriate the weather. Fingers crossed it will start to warm up in March.

Anyone recognize where this little box is from? :)

Nautical Saturday

Oh boy I am in need of a haircut very soon.. Only when I'm looking at photos do I realize how long my hair is really getting! This blazer is one of my favorites from Ann Taylor. You can dress it up or down pretty easily. I wore it here with a long sleeve striped shirt and a chunky knit scarf. Don't let the sun in these photos fool you.. It was freezing out!

Part of our yummy brunch this morning at Portage Bay where we spotted Seahawks player Michael Bennett!! I was very tempted to take a quick snapshot, but decided to spare my boyfriend the embarrassment. :)

Oversized Flannel and Booties

Flannel - Nasty Gal
Lately I've been really into oversized shirts. I don't know about you, but when it's cold out all I want to do is dress cozy. In the mornings I'll usually roll out of bed, throw on my black Zella leggings with a long shirt or sweater (to hid the bum), slip on some booties and head to the office. I use to try and shovel in some breakfast beforehand, but what would end up actually happening is a starving me until lunch. Now I just buy foods that I can take with me to work.
Lesson learned.
This flannel is definitely oversized and boyish. I made it more feminine by wearing it with a pop of red lipstick and booties with a heel.

Whoops, accidentally repped my University here :)
A little trick of mine is to put on my EOS lip balm before applying lipstick. Keeps my lips moisturized and helps the lipstick go on smoothly.

Happy MLK Day!

I love having days off especially when I am not pressured to make any plans. This weekend has been quite eventful. Spent Friday night at Q Bar on Capitol Hill for a friend's birthday, recovered all day Saturday by consuming way too much food, only to do it all over again Sunday for the football game! ...Which is why I decided to take it slow today by staying in bed hours after being awake, having a long shower, getting lunch with my sister (who just got back from a trip to Virginia), and taking my mom shopping downtown.
Ann Taylor was having a 50% off sale and I picked up a couple of staple pieces.
I bought this make-up case from Victoria's Secret last week and had to share it because it is the prettiest color! Makes me happy every time I see it. Sometimes the smallest things can make my day. I'm just weird like that I guess.

I have never been good at keeping a diary, but I wish I was! There are so many small moments, especially in my travels, that I would love to have written down. I started writing in this 5 Year Journal at the beginning of the year and have been doing a decent job at keeping up with it. Answering the different questions everyday is really fun!

Game Day!!!

Just a little post to celebrate today's WIN!
I didn't want to spend $150 on a real jersey (or however much they cost) since the season was already halfway over by the time I thought about getting one. Instead I opted for this shirt that is part of the Victoria Secret PINK collection! It has been freezing so I threw on some gloves to keep warm.
I have seriously been in search of the perfect shade of light pink nail polish for way too long.
They always ended up being too pink or too sheer.
But now, I think I have finally found THE ONE.

TRES JOLIE

Hi All!
Hope everyone is having a great start to 2014!
One of my resolutions this year is finding more time for new experiences.
This means getting out of my comfort zone.
Oh. And being less of a couch potato :)
What are yours??

Cardigan - Banana Republic | Tee - H&M | Leggings - Express (similar) | Booties - Clarks (similar) | Sunnies - Thailand | Watch - Michael Kors | Bracelet - Nordstrom Rack
Another on of my black and white outfits..
I really need to broaden my (fashion) horizons.
That can be a part of my resolution too!
I've tried a variety of leather pants and these are my favorite so far. The front paneling is just enough to get the look without being too over the top for me. Perhaps I will work up to 100% leather someday!
This cardigan from Banana Republic is super warm and sophisticated.
It is partially wool so I know it will last a long time.
Unfortunately I could not find a link for it on their website.
It might still be available in stores!

You can never go wrong with red lips.
This shade is "Rouge" from the Make Up Forever line in matte.
No smudges even after a meal!
I love loose tees! I have them in all colors, lengths and sizes. I like the longer sleeves and slight cutoff look of this one.

More booties from Clarks! Their shoes are so comfortable I can't get enough of them!
