CROPPED

I love the shape of this crop top, however it showed a little too much mid-section for my taste. Next time I'll probably rock it with a high-wasted skirt instead, but I decided to post these anyways. After all fashion is about about trying something new and deciding if it's for you or not.

I feel the need to talk about these $15 sunnies that I've been wearing ALL THE TIME. I own a few pairs of designer sunglasses, but forgot to bring any on a trip to Houston last year. I also happened to forget my entire makeup bag.. GASP! Every girl's worst nightmare right?? Well I didn't want to drop a couple hundred dollars on sunglasses and new makeup so I headed to the local Target and that is where I bought these.

I love them because they look chic and I don't have to worry about carrying a separate case around to protect them. They usually just get shoved in my over-sized bag somewhere - just one less thing to waste energy on. So I may seriously consider never buying designer sunnies again.. well never say never.. but I'll definitely think twice.

Also I am loving these earrings from RocksBox this month! For those of you who are not familiar with RocksBox, it is a jewelry subscription service. More about this in my next blog post! For now if you'd like to try it out for FREE, sign up with my code: maryqxoxo

WHAT I WORE : TO WORK

The best part about being in the tech industry is you get to wear whatever you want to work and NO ONE cares. I mean you've still got to use common sense (i.e. lets keep it classy). With that said, I am totally guilty of rocking my yoga pants to the office - probably 3/5 days of the week.

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting fellow Seattle blogger, Kimberly Nguyen of Hello Kim Win. After following each other for a over a year or so on Instagram we finally realized that we both work at the same company. SUCH a small world!

So obviously we had to grab lunch and chat blogs/fashion/all things girlie. This girl is completely down to earth, not to mention a genius in my books so for all you college tech nerds out there - I would totally suck up to her. You'll know what I mean if you check out her bio!

THE T-SHIRT DRESS

Guys, I have this weird obsession with t-shirts. I want them all.

SO when I discovered this t-shirt dress phenomenon I was beyond excited! I immediately wanted to buy all of them, but the tiny minimalist conscience inside had some restraint. I settled for this grey one with clean lines, a boyfriend-esque look, and short enough hem to still be feminine.

Global warming must be real because it is way too hot to be June in Seattle right now. I wore this dress everywhere last weekend because it is SO comfy, light and fuss free. It is also incredibly versatile! You can throw on a denim chambray over it for a picnic at the park or put on a statement necklace & a cute pair of sandals for happy hour.

We went exploring this weekend around out new neighborhood and came across this gorgeous viewpoint. It overlooks the I-90 bridge and Lake Washington.
