Sorry I have been a bit MIA from the blog lately. Sometimes it is good to take a break from "blogger life" and enjoy real life. You know how people who play video games 8 hours a day can get too caught up in their virtual lives? I feel the same could definitely happen with blogging and Instagram. Scary!

Sophisticated Fun

My favorite part about Spring are the colors and pretty blooms popping up everywhere. I am so excited to say goodbye heavy jackets and wool stockings for a while! One thing that I love/hate about living in a city with all four seasons is the amount of clothes you have to accumulate for each one. That is why I love transitional pieces like these these booties. They are warm enough to wear on those dreadful grey days and airy enough for a day out in the sun.

I styled this outfit with these darling shorts courtesy of Hot Kiss Clothing. I wanted the beautiful embellishments around the pockets to be a focal point and kept the rest of the outfit clean and simple. A general rule of mine is if I have a busy top I like to keep the bottom simple and vice versa.

Don't you love it when you rediscover old clothes in your closet?? I bought this blouse over a year ago at H&M and felt that it was too bold for me at the time. One day I was rummaging through my closet, feeling like I had nothing to wear and decided to give it another try. It has easily become one of my favorites! People often say fashion is a way to express yourself and I think this is a great example of that.
