Spring Green

We saw the first signs of Spring last weekend and I finally got to wear my sandals out! It feels wonderful to still see light in the sky stepping out of work. I rearranged my furniture and lightened things up a bit this weekend. Also found the perfect shoe shelf as last! Those of you on my Instagram saw a sneak peek this morning. It is still a work in progress, but hopefully I will be able to show you guys in my next post!

Life has been busy this week. Sometimes I get so caught up in the stress I forget that things really are not as complicated as they seem. I'm sure everyone has had those days where you feel like there are a million things to think about and a million things you need to be doing all at once. When this happens, I always bring myself back to one of my favorite quotes (which hangs on the wall right next to my bed):

I signed up for hot yoga again today and am very excited! I started practicing as a form of exercise when I was abroad in Bangkok. At that time I was going nearly 5 days a week for four months. It became a lifestyle and way of being that helped connect my mind, body and soul. With how much is going on around us daily, it is important to empty those pestering thoughts and focus on connecting with your body at some point during the day/week.

Dressy vs. Casual

For this outfit, I wanted to play with pairing dressy and casual pieces together.

Loving how this cotton v-neck tones down the white blazer. Not to mention, it's extremely comfortable! The sneakers definitely give this outfit a fun carefree feel and makes it perfect for walking around town.

Vancouver Tidbits

Just some randoms from my Vancouver trip:

1. My overnight bag where I usually pack all my make-up and accessories.

2. Found a swimsuit at Top Shop in my favorite neon color.

What's a getaway without room service?? Don't worry, we saved it for a rainy cold night!

Cozy Casual Sunday

What a busy week! 

I rearranged the furniture in the apartment all by myself (was too impatient to wait until my boyfriend got home). Now we get sit in front of our lovely view! Made a trip to ikea to scope out some potential new furniture. And I bought a new lens for my DSLR! Currently shooting with a 35mm 1.8g. What is your favorite lens??
