LITTLE WHITE ROMPER

One of my favorite summer looks is wearing all white with tanned skin and gold accessories! 

Rompers have become my new little obsession. There are so many cute ones out this season! All you have to do is throw one on and worry about the shoes and accessories. A nice little way to cheat and still look fabulous on those lazy days! 

What makes this romper unique is the elegant open back with lace detailing. It is a great day-to-night piece to have in your closet. The material is very light and airy - perfect for any tropical getaway!

The colors around the hotel grounds were so gorgeous in Puerto Vallarta. It was impossible to pick a bad spot to shoot at!

CHINA PRINT W/ LACE

This top was the only thing I bought the entire trip (excluding the copious amounts of food & drink). I am in love with the blue and white print on this shirt. It reminds me of a delicate china set. Of course I wasn't able to pre-plan this outfit nor did I have a lot of options on hand.. So I had to improvise! I ended up pairing it with my favorite lace shorts to keep the outfit free and flowing. It was perfect for strolling around the beach and wearing directly to dinner.

These photos were taken on our last full day in Puerto Vallarta during sunset.

We came at the perfect time of the year - right after the high season full of spring breakers and before the rainy season during the summer months. A lot of the time we got to enjoy the beach to ourselves.

In an effort to maximize our time in the sun and sea before flying home, we spent the majority of the day laying outside by the beach and pool. 

The result: super tanned skin and a bit of sunburn for some of us ;)

It was all worth it though!

A wedding took place on the beach our last night there! The photo below is of the reception. So gorgeous!

Happy Monday everyone! This week will be a busy one as I get ready for my trip to Puerto Vallarta. I usually procrastinate until the last minute to pack and therefore end up grossly overpacking! This time I am going to get an early start and see if I can minimize some of that. No promises!

Sophisticated Fun

My favorite part about Spring are the colors and pretty blooms popping up everywhere. I am so excited to say goodbye heavy jackets and wool stockings for a while! One thing that I love/hate about living in a city with all four seasons is the amount of clothes you have to accumulate for each one. That is why I love transitional pieces like these these booties. They are warm enough to wear on those dreadful grey days and airy enough for a day out in the sun.

I styled this outfit with these darling shorts courtesy of Hot Kiss Clothing. I wanted the beautiful embellishments around the pockets to be a focal point and kept the rest of the outfit clean and simple. A general rule of mine is if I have a busy top I like to keep the bottom simple and vice versa.
